We formed our business around the concept that work should be a place where all individuals can be who they are; express their own unique voice; feel part of a productive culture; feel valued; and make a positive contribution.
In our experience, command-and-control does not work. It stifles creativity, breeds mistrust, disempowers and disengages an organization’s most valuable asset: human beings. Employees invest their time, talent and energy into building products, delivering services and making organizations valuable. For that commitment, they deserve a workplace that fosters trust and respect, and believes everyone deserves dignity.
When workplace behavior aligns with the mission, vision and values of your organization, now you have the formula for success that breeds happy employees. And, happy employees are productive, loyal employees who will help you achieve your goals.
According to one study, happy employees are 12% more productive, and they work more effectively, creatively and collaboratively at work. For study highlights, click here: http://bit.ly/2eforKa
SMART Conversations evolved out of the proven work and thought leadership of Stephen Covey. Our founders were the west-coast affiliate of the Covey Leadership Center (CLC) in northern California. When the CLC was merged with Franklin Publishing and became Franklin-Covey, our co-founders decided to venture off on their own.
After 15 years, they started thinking about retirement and gave us the opportunity to become the stewards of what was originally called: di.a.logic®. We changed the name to SMART Conversations® (SC) to make it more accessible and easier to remember. (Who doesn’t want to have a smart conversation?)
Since we obtained SC, we have simplified the work, updated it with additional thought leadership and added to the secret sauce of what makes SC so powerful.
